The Legion du Mortun is an elite brigade of the Death Korps of Kreig. The brigade is a mechanised force held back to exploit breakthroughs in the enemy trench lines. The force as it develops will include many tanks,mechanised infantry, mobile artillery and cavalry.
This is a first figure painted up to test out my uniform colours. Drawing heavily from the French “horizon blue” uniforms of the First World War. The figure is an advancing trooper from Forge World. The detail on these figures is incredible – not just buttons, but buttonholes. Not just boots but boots with hobnails. This is really a painting and modelling project primarily devised to allow me to use my airbrush on lots of tanks. Whether the army ever gets big enough to play a game is another matter…..
