Walloon Guards 1st Battalion (Campo Santo 1743)

There were six battalions of the Walloon Guards at Campo Santo deployed in a single brigade on the left of the Spanish line. I am using one tabletop battalion to represent two real life units. This makes the order of battle much more achievable!

I’ve got two more battalions to paint which will be sometime next year, though i’ve already done the really difficult conversion bits for both of them.

All figures are Crann Tara Miniatures with minor conversion to add the shoulder knots and collars that were worn by Spanish guards regiments. Flags are hand painted over a template from the. wonderful Not By Appointment Blog
