These units are part of a small army that I intend to use for some Dragon Rampant games in 2024.

The first is literally the Legion of the Dead from Heritage Models circa 1975. They are part of the Fantasy range 1333: Legion of the Dead with Swords. A few of the flimsy scimitars had snapped so they got replaced with spears and a standard bearer.
I decided to use the Children of the Hydra, Harryhausen skeletons as inspiration for the shield designs.
Leading the legion are a couple of old pre-slotta Citadel figures. C18 1a Undead Liche (or sometimes. FTS 14 Skeleton Priest) as the boss, with his bodyguard FTS1/C17 1a
Skeleton Advancing w. Sword & Shield. They are both tiny figures (even for 25mm) and are small enough to blend in nicely with the aged Heritage skeletons.
This second unit I have had painted a few years ago but never added to the blog. They are a mish-mash of Citadel Zombies from the C18 Zombies range. I think i’ve got another three of these and some chariots to go. Plus a Skullcrusher, still in the packet

Those are bloody splendid!! Especially the shields…
I love them! Those zombies are wonderful
Andy made me look……….
Very clever. Truly horrific in fact..
